Brocton-Portland Seniors plan trip

June 17, 2011
The OBSERVER

The Brocton-Portland Seniors are sponsoring a trip to Ohio Amish Country on July 20 with pick-up stops in Brocton and Fredonia.

Trip includes a stop in Erie, Pa., for coffee and a rest stop before continuing on to the destination, which includes the Ridgeview Country Market, where fresh produce in season is available; Miller's Custom Cabinet Shop, a quaint countryside store where trip-goers can learn about the tools this craftsman has to create cabinets using no electricity; and a real Amish dinner, with plentiful food for everyone. The next stop is at the Nauroo Country Market and an Amish schoolhouse that will set participants back in time. There will also be a stop at the Middlefield Original Cheese House.

More information and reservations may be made by contacting Mary at 792-9748 by July 4.

The cost of $57 for members and $60 for non-members includes motorcoach transportation, dinner and gratuity.
