Cassadaga Country Club
Member-Member Tourney - Scott Smith and Barry Wilcox won the championship for the Cassadaga Country Club Member Member Tournament.
Following the 27-hole format, Smith and Wilcox won a play off over Tim Bulger and Rick Vahl.
The first nine-hole portion was a two-man best ball with handicap. At the end of the first segment, the team of Ron Mason and Dave Yagger were in the lead at net 27. Smith and Wilcox were in second at net 28. The team of Julie Fenton and Sheila Whitford held third place at net 29.
The second nine holes involved a scratch scramble. Bulger and Vahl led with a 59 total. Smith and Wilcox finished at 60. Third place was a tie at 62 between Mason and Yagger and the team of Rick Fenton and Todd Fenton.
The final nine holes featured an alternate shot format. The teams of Smith and Wilcox and Bulger and Vahl finished tied at 95 forcing the play off. Fenton and Fenton finished third at 97.
Masonand Yagger won fourth with a 99 total. Defending champions Sean Egan and Darren Mangine shot 101 to round out the top five teams.
Wednesday Travel League
WATERFORD, Pa. - Joe Michalski earned his second tour victory of the season by posting the low round of 76 at Mound Grove Golf Course. Kerry Murphy finished second with a 79. Michalski shot 38 on both sides, with Murphy and Tony Nicosia each matching him for low score on the back nine. Other flight winners were Domenico Lamattina (B), Pat Weaver (C) and Lee Titus (D). Winner of the Commissioner's Award was George Domedion.

The Vineyards Wednesday Night Ladies League - The team of Amy Edgerton and Beth Rich had the low team gross (87). The team of Darleen Kawski and Bina Loftus had the low team net (67). Amy Edgerton's 39 was the low individual gross and Darleen Kawski's 32 was the low individual net. Amy Edgerton won both hole No. 1 and No. 5. Charity Mucha and Carroll Nalepa were tied for the fewest putts with 15.
Ladies Purple Posse League - For league play on July 13, Barb VanDette, Vicki Clark and Marcia Casella took home the top three spots, respectively.
For league play on July 27, Clark, Casella and VanDette once again were the top three golfers, respectively.
The Purple Posse League is always looking for ladies of all skill levels. The next date will be August 3 with name draw at 8:30 a.m. and tee times starting at 9 a.m.

Pinehurst Wednesday Mens League - Adam Morello 36, Jon Esperson 37, Gary Arnold 37, Jeff Thomas 38, Andy Deakin 39. Closest to pin Bob Remington (No. 4) and Gary Arnold (No. 7).
Sugar Hill
The Girls4 Golf Tuesday Night League -Low gross was won by Nancy Phillips and Linda Prince who each had a 46. Low net went to Linda Prince with a 33 and also Sue Johnson, Julie Kohler and Debra Yerico each with a 35. Karen Tramuta had a birdie on No. 5. The prize for the evening was won by Linda Hodorowicz with a total score of 15 putts for the course.
On Tuesday, Aug. 2 the Sugar Hill Golf Course will be an official site for the Susan G. Komen "Rally for the Cure" Breast Cancer Golf Tournament. The nine-hole, two-person scramble golf tournament will begin with registration at 4:30 p.m. with a shotgun start at 5:15 p.m.

The Women Who Golf For Fun - Leading the way was Carole Hudson, shooting 45. Bobbi Deering came in second with 46. The women will play again next Wednesday meeting at 8:30 a.m., teeing off at 9 a.m. Following golf next week, the women will gather for a luncheon at noon at Wing City.
Members who can not golf on Wednesday are encouraged to join them for lunch.
Shorewood Country Club
Captains Cup - The winner of the 2011 Shorewood CC Captains cup went to Dean Ringler. Ringler's 18-hole score of 72 (net 66) was good enough for a three-shot victory.
Derek Dawson recorded a rare double eagle on the par 5 10th Hole at Shorewood Country Club. This was accomplished when Dawson knocked in a 5-iron from 200 yards on his second shot.

Bills Booster Meeting
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will hold a general meeting Sunday at the Kosciuszko Club, starting at 1 p.m.
Chautauqua Golf Club to Host Jr. Golf Tourney
Chautauqua Golf Club will host the Sixth Annual Junior Golf Tournament Monday, Aug. 8.
Children ages 6-18 are eligible for the tournament, which takes place on the Chautauqua Golf Club Lake Course.
The cost is $35, and registration continues through Aug. 6. The entry fee includes prizes, a hot dog, chips and a drink. Parents and relatives are welcome to attend.
Golfers are divided into six divisions based on age and skill level. Tournament length varies by division, ranging from five to 18 holes. Tee times begin at 7:45 a.m.

Dunkirk Midget Football Sign ups for new players will be held Saturday, July 30 from noon to 4 p.m. at Hose 4 Firehall on Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
