Ronald and Patricia (Mierzwa) Kaus of Franklin Avenue, Dunkirk, were honored July 24 at a Mass for the intention of their 50th wedding anniversary at St. Columban's Chapel in Silver Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Kaus were married on May 27, 1961 at St. John Fisher Church, South Dayton.
The baptism of their great-grandson, Sean Christopher Kaus Jr., was performed after the service and an outdoor reception was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Richard and Theresa Schrantz (grandparents of Sean Jr.) of Fredonia.
Attending were their sons Michael L. Kaus of Glendale, Ariz., and Richard Kaus of Dunkirk, and grandchildren Sean (Kristen) C. Kaus of Peoria, Ariz., (parents of Sean, Jr.,) and Michael C. Kaus, also of Glendale. Relatives and friends also shared this special day with the couple.
