Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. and Kathleen (Bogold) Gallivan of 26 Glenwood Ave., Silver Creek, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26. Mrs. Gallivan is the daughter of the late George and Violet Bogold of Buffalo. Mr. Gallivan is the son of the late Cornelius and Francis Gallivan also of Buffalo.
Edward and Kathleen were wed in a morning ceremony on Aug. 26, 1961 at St. Bartholomew's church in Buffalo. They moved to Silver Creek later that year. The couple owns Gallivan Floor Sanding Company.
The Gallivans have four sons: Edward, Daniel, Jeffrey and Aaron, all living in Silver Creek. They also have 10 grandchildren.

A party honoring Mr. and Mrs. Gallivan was held in Silver Creek at the Fireman's Social Club on Lake Erie. Many local and out-of-town family and friends were in attendance.
