St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple St., Fredonia, will hold its annual Chicken Barbecue & Cornfest Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-sale tickets will be honored until 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $8. Take-outs are available.
Dates set for DHS Regents lab
Dunkirk City School District students who will be taking the Earth Science Regents Exam on Aug. 18 at noon are required to complete the Part D Lab-Practical Performance Component within the two-week period prior to taking the Regents Exam.
That Lab-Practical Performance Component will be given on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 beginning at 10 a.m. You must report to the High School Main Office and you will receive further instructions from there.
If you do not take the Lab Practical you will not be able to sit and take the Earth Science Regents Exams. No excuses are permissible.
Evans Garden Club
visits Sheridan Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Evans Garden Club will visit the Eagle Bay Hosta Gardens in Sheridan. Meet at the Angola Public Library at 6 p.m. to carpool to a 6:30 tour of the gardens led by Ran Lydell. After the tour, the group will gather for ice cream and a short meeting. The library arrangement for August will be provided by Diane Benzing and Janet Cervola. For more information, call 947-4571.
Forestville Village water meeting changed
The Forestville Village Water Committee Meeting will be held Aug. 16 at 6 p.m., not on Aug. 18 as previously printed.
Pizza event today
The Dunkirk High School football program is having one final fundraiser before the pre-season starts. A pizza and wings meal fundraiser at Pizza Village will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. Customers will be able to have pizza, wings and a soft drink for $7. Eat-in or take out will be available.
