County Home picnic Saturday
The Chautauqua County Council VFW and Ladies Auxiliary will host the first annual picnic at the County Home for the residents on Saturday.
VFW and Ladies Auxiliary members are asked to be at the home by 10:30 a.m.
All auxiliaries were sent letters on what to bring to the home.

The Junior Girls will be having an ice cream social following lunch.
Artist's work on display thru Aug. 19
North Shore Arts Alliance Artist Mark Kirkland of Forestville is displaying his metal sculptures at the Anderson-Lee Library Aug. 8-19. Kirkland transforms discarded metal items including barbed and grape wire, as well as sheet steel into works of art. The artist attempts to illuminate the sublime to create a sculpture that causes happiness and awareness in all materials.
St. Paul Lutheran Church event Sunday
St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple St., Fredonia, will hold its annual Chicken Barbecue and Cornfest on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-sale tickets will be honored until 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $8. Take-outs are available.
