Gowanda Psychiatric Center 20-year reunion
A planning committee has been working on a 20-year reunion for all past employees of Gowanda Psychiatric Center that will be held Aug. 26, at 5 p.m. at the Gowanda VFW Post on Sand Hill in Gowanda. It has been 20 years since the Psychiatric Center closed its doors and patients were transferred to Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse Psychiatric Centers. Tickets will be on sale from the Gowanda Area Credit Union for $15 each that will include dinner and refreshments. Pick up your tickets before Monday. The credit union number is 532-3790.
