WESTFIELD - Westfield Senior Citizens announce their 53rd anniversary celebration, on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Westfield YWCA. This will be a catered meal, and reservations are to be made before Sept. 1. Those interested in attending may contact Shirley Kolpien at 326-3576 or Dolores Kaufman at 326-2828. The price per individual is $3.
The program this evening will be Scott and Debbie Mason, local funeral directors from Mason's Funeral Home. This funeral home has been serving the Westfield community since 1896, when it was the Carpenter Funeral Home. In 1993, Scott and Debbie purchased the building, then called the Brewer Funeral Home, and changed the name to Brewer-Mason Funeral Home. In 1995, they officially became the Mason Funeral Home. The club is looking forward to the Masons' program.
Kitchen and dessert committee members are Gladys Hess, Shirley Kolpien, Dolores Kaufman, Art Kinney and Margaret Gindling.
