'Shake It Up' VBS planned
The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church will be hold the "Shake It Up Cafe - Where Kids Carry Out God's Recipes for Life" Vacation Bible School Tuesday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Preschoolers through sixth-graders are invited to attend. The church is located on Route 430 in the center of Dewittville.
'SunDay FunDay' event to be held Aug. 28
Join the First Baptist Church, 32 Main St., Silver Creek on Sunday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. for "SunDay FunDay." Enjoy a fun worship service geared or the whole family. At noon lunch will be served, including hot dogs and snow cones. The community is welcome to bring their children to enjoy the bounce house and games. This event is free.
Cassadaga church to hold old-fashioned ice cream social
CASSADAGA-The Cassadaga Community Baptist Church, located at 25 Maple Avenue in the village, will hold an old-fashioned ice cream social and music program on Friday evening August 26th at 6 p.m. Along with ice cream being served, McNiff cookies will be served as well. The music will be provided by Morris Brown and the Mountain Railroad Band. A large tent will be set up for the social, and those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. There is no charge for this social and everyone is welcome to attend.
Combined service to feature guest speaker
LILY DALE - At the combined service of Church of The Living Spirit/Lily Dale Spiritualist Church Sunday, the guest speaker will be Patricia Bell and the medium is Sharon Klinger. It will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Lily Dale Auditorium. There is no gate fee for the church service. Combined services will be held through Sept.4.
