Church to host 'Extreme Endeavour'

MAYVILLE - The Mayville First Baptist Church will be hosting an "Extreme Endeavour" Saturday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. Guest speakers include Independent Gospel Mission Director Gary Newhart who will explain the ministry of I.G.M. Also in attendance will be Kerry and Teri Psinas, missionaries to the isle of Grenada; Pastor Clifton Smith from Jamaica; and Charlie and Marlene Payne, missionaries to Jamaica. Special music will also be provided by the Charlie Payne Family Band. This is sure to be a great night of encouragement for all ages. The event is free to attend. Beef on Weck Bonanza set for Sept. 25

On Sept. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave., the Beef on Weck Bonanza will be held. The meal includes a generous serving of beef on a kaiser roll, baked beans, homemade macaroni salad, tossed salad, with dessert and beverage. Horseradish and au jus are available. Lunch is $ 6.75 per person. Take-outs available. For delivery, call 679-1502. Tickets may be purchased ahead (679-1502) or at the door. Lily Dale features guest speaker

LILY DALE - The featured speaker at the Church of the Living Spirit Sunday service will be Jay Cooke. The church meets at Lily Dale Assembly Hall, Cleveland Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. for healing, meditation and messages. On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., the church will hold a Community Healing Service in the Healing Temple. A Mediumship Circle from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday is also planned.
