Harvest dinner set
WESTFIELD - First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., is holding a harvest dinner on Friday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults, children 10 and under are $5. All dinners include a beverage and homemade dessert. Sit down, take-out or delivery are available. For delivery, call the church office at 326-2643 by Friday, Sept. 30, at noon. Vendors needed
The Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will be holding a holiday shoppe on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Blessed Mary Angela Social Center, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk. There will be a bake sale, food for purchase, visit with Santa, music and more. Vendors are sought for the event. The exhibitor booth fee is $20 for one 8-foot table or two tables for $35. Find a treasure today
The Fredonia First United Methodist Church is holding a "treasure room rummage sale," Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entrance to the sale will be on the left side of the building via the ramp. The elevator will be available to the lower level. Featured will be the winter coat rack with men's, women's, and children's jackets and outerwear. All items will be 50 percent off beginning at noon on Saturday. All are welcome to stop by and see what treasure they can find.
Rummage sale planned
SOUTH DAYTON - The South Dayton United Methodist Church is holding a giant rummage sale on Oct. 7 and 8. It runs from Friday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It runs Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A bag sale is Saturday at noon. There is a bake sale both days.
Sunday school starts
Dunkirk First United Methodist Church Sunday school kick-off is Sunday, Sept. 25. The theme is "Fruits of the Spirit." Breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. and activities will start at 10. Classes are available for students to adults. All are welcome.
Church to hold Blessing of the Pets
SILVER CREEK - Blessing of the Pets and Pet Celebration will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for all animals. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church will celebrate its first Blessing of the Pets on the front lawn at the church at 165 Central Ave., Silver Creek. The celebration will begin with a procession of pets and blessing beginning at 1 p.m. Bring a donation for the Lakeshore Humane Society. There is always a need for food, blankets, towels, monetary gifts and gift cards. All creatures, great and small, are welcome.
Rally Day ready
SILVER CREEK - Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Porter Ave., will host a Rally Day/Chili Cook Off on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 4 p.m. to kick off "Saturday School." Pastor Tom Lutz, vacancy pastor, will be the judge of the Chili Challenge. There will be chicken soup and a baked potato bar, too.
Games, songs and fun for all will be the order of the day. All are welcome to join in.
Guest speaker Sunday
LILY DALE - The guest speaker for the Sunday service at Church of The Living Spirit is Willa White. The service is at 10:30 a.m. There will be a healing service, meditation, and messages in the Assembly Hall.
