Joseph and Stella Granata of Fredonia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 14. They were married in 1961 at St. John Bosco Church in Sheridan.
Joe is the son of the late Alfred and Bertha Granata, and Stella is the daughter of the late George T. and Phyllis Smith. Joe is retired from the Village of Fredonia and Stella is retired from M&T Bank in Fredonia.
The couple have three children: Col. Joseph P. (Rene) Granata, Julie Granata and John (Kim) Granata. They have eight grandchildren; Jashua (Stephanie) Woods, Toni (Li) Hoang, Joseph (Lisa) Granata, Vinny Granata, Michael Granata, Alexis Granata, Savannah Granata and Madison Granata. They also have five great-grandchildren; Ian and Liam Woods, Dominic, Damian, and Jordan Hoang.
