Common Council budget hearing today
The Dunkirk Common Council will hold a public hearing on the budget proposed for 2012 by Mayor Richard Frey today at 5 p.m. in City Hall. Council is scheduled to continue its budget review after the hearing.
Overnight parking ban in Silver Creek
The Silver Creek Police Department would like to remind residents that the overnight parking ban goes into effect from Tuesday to April 1, 2012.
pursuant to Village code, no vehicles are permitted to be parked on village streets (village right of way -sidewalk to sidewalk) from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. Violators will receive parking tickets beginning Nov.15.
Brocton Board of Education meets at earlier time Thursday
The regularly Scheduled meeting of the Brocton Central School Board of Education will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. Please note the early start time.
Reports on the audit and the new tax cap will be given.
The meeting will be held in the board of education room.
Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council to meet on Thursday
The Chautauqua County Department of Health announces that the next meeting of the Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council (LEICC) will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the Connections North Conference Room, 10825 Bennett Road, Dunkirk.
The LEICC is made up of professionals and parents involved in the Early Intervention Program in the county. LEICC is a statewide program to help families meet the needs of infants and toddlers up to the age of three with developmental disabilities. Services provided by the program may include special instruction, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and vision services.
