St. John’s to hold Thanksgiving dinner, service

November 19, 2011
The OBSERVER

Thanksgiving will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church with Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday and a service on Thanksgiving Day.

After the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, parish families and friends are invited to a turkey dinner, including all the trimmings. All members are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to Rural Ministries' food kitchen. The food donation represents an offering of Thanksgiving for the many gifts received throughout the year.

The theme will be continued on Thanksgiving Day with a Communion service at 10 a.m. The traditional Thanksgiving readings and hymns will be part of the service.

All are invited to attend. St. John's is located on the corner of West Fourth and Lark streets in Dunkirk.
