'Abundant Blessings'
CASSADAGA - Universal Unity of Spirit's guest speaker on Sunday is the Rev. Shirley Calkins Smith. Her topic is "Abundant Blessings" and the lecture begins at 1:30 p.m. following the 1 p.m. healing service. All are welcome to attend the service and to join in for fellowship and refreshments afterwards. Smith is a well-known teacher and speaker throughout Western New York and Canada whose compassionate teaching style has garnered her many students.

Cookie sale set
Trinity Episcopal Church, located on 11 Day St., Fredonia, will be hosting a Christmas cookie sale on Friday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Advent services start Wednesday
SILVER CREEK - Wednesday Advent services will be held on Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 and 21 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Worship will begin at noon with the Rev. Thomas Lutz officiating. The theme for these services will be: "Advent: A Season of Joyful Anticipation." Following the worship service, a light luncheon will be served. This is free to the public and all are invited as "we prepare the way of the Lord." The church is located at 15 Porter Ave. in Silver Creek.
The Rev. Theresa Kime to speak
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua announces that the Rev. Theresa Kime will speak on Sunday. Kime's sermon, "Our Calling," will ask those present what engages them and how they might deepen their understanding and expand their vision, using UU principles and Living Tradition as a guide. All are welcome to attend the service.
During the service, Religious Exploration classes for children in grades K-4 and Coming of Age for grades 5-8 will meet. Childcare for those less than 5 years of age will also be provided.
