Editor, OBSERVER:
I would like to thank John Fedyszyn and the OBSERVER for printing the article about my son, Stanley Eugene Sosinski, as the hero of the week. It was a terrific job well done.
I would also like to thank the Blue Star Mothers for all the work they do in collecting and sending packages to our military. As a member of this organization, I get to hear about the gratitude from a lot of our military.
It's a wonderful way of letting them know how much we appreciate all they do for our country.

Neighbors come to aid
Editor, OBSERVER:
I want to thank Patty and Steve Arnold who were there minutes after the accident.
Father Dan Fiebelkorn for his special blessing before the surgery. Joann Burker and Mary Wisniewski for their many trips to the doctor and hospital. Pat Bannister for bringing my groceries and medicine and Doug Voit for the great care of my lawn all summer.
My church family for their prayers and cards. My heartfelt thanks and God Bless.

Village can't afford bonuses
Editor, OBSERVER:
We would like to make the residents of the village of Forestville aware that the employees of Forestville are requesting a performance bonus. We oppose this for two reasons:
1. Our property taxes have recently increased by 20 percent.
2. We are presently in limbo regarding the impact the new water and billing systems will have our pocketbooks.
Therefore, we would not endorse a performance bonus. This view is not a reflection on the performance of any of the individuals. Rather, it is a fact that we as taxpayers can't afford to play Santa Claus.
We encourage all Forestville residents to attend the village board meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Village Hall.
