Chairman admits ‘political’ will

January 6, 2012
The OBSERVER

Editor, OBSERVER:

In a commentary that appeared in the OBSERVER (Dec. 29), "Panel is another outlet for citizens," it was stated correctly what the Citizens Advisory Committee was created for by the Common Council. However, it is my opinion that their chairman James White does not view it that way.

In the article "CAC looking ahead to the new year" (Dec. 28), Mr. White stated "We are a political group, we're a nonpartisan group." Non-partisan may refer to some of the members but not all of them.

If that is the way Mr. White sees the CAC, then they should not be allowed to use City Hall as their meeting place and should be dissolved by the Common Council.
