Mr. and Mrs. Scott Schulte

Amy Burghardt and Scott Schulte were married on Oct. 1, 2011 at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, Pa. Father David Bonnar performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Judy Burghardt of Silver Creek and granddaughter of Julie Muscato of Farnham, N.Y. the late Frank A. Muscato, and Donald and Phyllis Burghardt of Silver Creek and Mesa, Ariz. The groom's parents are Bob and Jean Schulte of Medina, Ohio. He is the grandson of LaVerne Schulte of Parma Heights, Ohio, the late Richard Schulte, and Mike and Carol Gubanik.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore an Enzoani diamond white taffeta strapless ballgown. It had a ruched bodice, symmetrical waistline with side bustling and pick-ups on a full A-line skirt, with a mid-length train. She carried a bouquet of all pink roses, spray roses and rununculus complemented by clear crystals throughout.

Jennifer Booth, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kara Schieber, sister of the bride, Jodie McCormick and Angela Como, friends of the bride. They wore full length cocoa brown strapless satin dresses with ruched bodices. Flower girls were Maggie and Lucy Booth, friends of the bride, Jillian Sohar and Maya Piechowiak, friends of the groom. Mike Piechowiak, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Steve Schulte, brother of the groom, Pete Sohar and Joe Ingram, friends of the groom.

A formal reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cannonsburg, Pa.

Amy and Scott are both cardiac surgery Physician Assistants and work in the Pittsburgh area hospitals.

After honeymooning in St. Lucia, the newlyweds are at home in Bethel Park, Pa.
