The Infinity All-Star Cheer and Dance teams competed in several regional competitions in January, coming home with numerous first place trophies and special awards. Infinity has teams in All-Star and Recreational cheer along with All-star dance in Pom, Hip-Hop and Lyrical. Team members range in age from 6 to 29.
Infinity's first event of the 2012 season was held in Westfield at The Battle with the Stars Cheer and Dance Competition. All eight teams were awarded first place trophies. In addition, Junior Hip-Hop was awarded the Dance Grand Champion prize for having the highest overall dance score for their 1980s inspired hip-hop routine.
Seven teams traveled to Edinboro, Pa., to participate in Champion Cheer Central's Winterfest Cheer and Dance Competition. First place trophies were awarded to Mini Hip-Hop, Open Hip-Hop, Junior Pom and Senior Lyrical. The Senior Lyrical team also received a special award for Best Choreography.

All eight Infinity teams finished the month of January at Shout! Cheer and Dance's Spirit on Ice Cheer and Dance Championship held at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. Youth Level 1 Cheer, Youth Rec Cheer, Mini Hip-Hop, Junior Hip-Hop, Open Hip-Hop, Junior Pom, and Senior Lyrical took top honors by taking first place in their respective divisions, with Junior Hip-Hop winning the title of Junior Dance Grand Champion. All of the teams qualified for the U.S. finals which will be held March 31 in Indianapolis.
Infinity has several more competitions lined up in February and March. The teams will be traveling to Jamestown, Erie, Rochester and Pittsburgh. The Junior and Senior level teams will also be traveling to Myrtle Beach in March to compete in the Spirit Sports Battle at the Beach, which is one of the largest Cheer and Dance competitions held in the Southeast United States. Finally, Infinity's Mini, Jr. and Open Hip-Hop teams will travel to Indianapolis for the U. S. Finals.
