Editor, OBSERVER:
Oooh! What a feeling! Those are the words the Nathan George and RO Foundations are singing!
On Jan. 29, both foundations together ran a successful spaghetti dinner for two local families, Randy Cooper and Jeff Roberts. This community is so great to live in and so giving. We worked very well together and the results showed!
Both families were in attendance all through the event, while greeting friends and family. It was a great event - people enjoyed their meal, took chances on a silent auction, and had fun listening to good music by Rock'n Richard's Road Show, all for a good cause.
All proceeds went into bonds for each of the four children and the balance to the families. We cannot thank the community again for all their support! You cannot do this without the help of many great people, and we had a bunch of them.
We would like to start with our host, Dunkirk Moose Lodge 89, who graciously opened their arms to us with the use of their facilities and for donating so much to us. We cannot thank you enough, especially Gov. John Lawrence and administrator Bill Winder.
Thanks for those that put the meal together; SYSCO Foods, Carriage House, Fieldbrook Farms, Petri Cookies, Better Baked Foods, Tops, KFC, Walmart, McDonalds, FSA, Heenan's Pub.
The big list of volunteers that worked hard, thank you!
