Two Chautauqua County teens have been charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child in separate incidents.
Shawn M. Hale, 18, of Sinclairville was charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office was requested to investigate a complaint regarding allegations of Hale having inappropriate contact with a minor in November. Subsequent investigation showed that Hale did have sexual contact with an underage female.
He appeared in the Town of Charlotte Court and was arraigned. He was released on $2,000 bail.
He will appear back in court at a later date.
In an unrelated incident, Tommy W. Hale Jr., 18, of Stockton was charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies were requested to investigate a complaint regarding allegations of Hale Jr. having inappropriate contact with a minor in March 2011.
Subsequent investigation showed that he did have sexual contact with an underage female.
Hale Jr. appeared in the Town of Stockton Court and was arraigned and transported to Chautauqua County Jail where he was released on $2,000 bail.
He will appear back in court at a later date.

MAYVILLE - District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:
Gregory E. Darling, 53, of Jamestown, was sentenced to a determinate term of four years in state prison with three years post-release supervision for fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
David B. Maione, 40, of Lakewood, was sentenced to three years determinate in state prison with two years post-release supervision for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Jason W. Killion, 30, of Maple Springs, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison for felony driving while intoxicated concurrent with six months in jail for driving while ability impaired and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Jerome S. Donaldson, 43, of Deer Street, Dunkirk, was sentenced to three years probation, a $1,000 fine and 36 months of ignition interlock system for aggravated driving while intoxicated.
