Editor, OBSERVER:
Georgetown Law School is one of the most prestigious schools in the country. Last month we learned the women who go there are suffering greatly, having to pay for their own birth control.
A spokesperson for them testified at the quasi-Congressional hearing on Capitol Hill. They face a great hardship. A figure of as much as $3,000 was cited.
I'm sure they wouldn't have before, but now that the whole country knows their plight maybe they could ask their parents for financial help. I certainly don't think it's up to the American people to pay for their extracurricular activities.
This was such an urgent matter. The president personally called the spokesperson after she received criticism for her testimony. Perhaps now he'll call the mother of the murdered border patrol agent.
