State police at Jamestown

April 22, 2012
The OBSERVER

GERRY - William Borden, 40, of Buffalo was charged April 13 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Troopers pulled Borden over on Route 60 for traffic violations. A check of his driver's record reportedly revealed a total of six suspensions.

Borden was transported to the Town of Charlotte Court where he was arraigned and then remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Gerry Court at a later date.

STEAMBURG - Ronald Hultin, 46, of Jamestown was charged April 12 with felony driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana.

An officer pulled Hultin over on Interstate 86 for a reported traffic violation. Hultin reportedly failed several field sobriety tests. The officer searched Hultin's vehicle and reported finding a pipe containing marijuana and a bag containing two grams of marijuana.

Hultin was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample reported as .17 percent. Since Hultin's driving record showed a DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years, the charge was a felony.

Hultin was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Cold Spring Court and turned over to a sober individual.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office

ELLERY Erik Possai, 19, of Bemus Point was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Thursday. At 11:50 p.m. Sheriff Deputies observed a car beside the road on Lewis Road in the town of Ellery. When the deputy approached the car, an odor of marijuana was detected. A subsequent investigation revealed a quantity of alleged marijuana in the vehicle. Possai was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Ellery Court.
