Fredonia Yardbirds 11, Eden 4

Gabe Schrader and Michael Barnes both had two hits to lead Fredonia to victory in the opening game of its travel season.

Dalton Gardner, Haeden Walters, Alex Riush and Dominic Gullo combined to strikeout 12 and hold Eden to six hits.

Pucci's Carpets 5

Trey Swartz pitched a complete-game, striking out 10 to lead Youth Council to victory.

At the plate, Swartz had three doubles, Noah Fleckenstein was 4 for 4 and Jimmy Rush was 2 for 2. Peyton Moreland added a double.

Pucci's Carpets were led by Nicolas Pucci with a double and Tyler Cain with two singles.

Bills Booster Club

The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will hold a general meeting Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club, starting at 2 p.m.

Crouse 5K?Challenge

The 13th Annual Crouse 5K Challenge in Gowanda is scheduled for Friday, May 11.

The 5K event begins at 6:30 p.m. while the 1/2-mile fun run begins at 7 p.m. A Tot Sprint is slated for a 7:15 p.m. start.

Proceed will benefit the Gowanda Central School Dennis Crouse, Sr. Scholarship Fund, Sports Boosters and the Blue By U (Youth Track Club).

Southern Tier Travel Soccer League Under-12 Boys

Bradford 6, NCSA Concord 1

In the opening game of the Southern Tier Travel Soccer League season, Bradford defeated NCSA Concord.

Jack Gaken had the lone goal for NCSA Concord, which trailed, 2-1, at halftime.

Gabe Persch and Grant Thompson split goalkeeping duties.

Nolan Mages and Mike Sturnilio played well up front for NCSA Concord.

Brendan Plaister and Sean Brown played well defensively.

NCSA Concord plays its first home game of the season May 6 at Dunkirk High School at 2:15 p.m.

Standings as of April 29 - 8-Ball Assassins, Ball Busters, Simply Wicked Pool, Da Wicked Skibbies, Ronnie's Crazy 8's and Jamestown Tavern.

Top gun: Gary Oehler is first in the Purple Tier. Eugene Alimonti is first in the Yellow Tier.

8 Ball Assasins won the session. WildCard Playoffs start May 3. A new session will be starting in June.
