Twenty years ago - 1992

Shirley Pulawski, an honor student at Seminole Community College, has accepted an internship in general administration at Channel 18, WKCF, in Orlando, Fla. A 1988 graduate of Dunkirk High School, she is the daughter of Mack and June Pulawski of Dunkirk.

Thirty years ago - 1982

Cheryl Franklin and Judy Turk, both seniors at Forestville Central School, will travel to Madrid, Spain, to study for four weeks this summer as part of the 1982 Summer Vacation Study Abroad Scholarship Program. Cheryl is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald W. Franklin of Bennett State Road, Forestville while Judy's parents are Lee and Diana Turk of Mezzio Road, Forestville. Cheryl has also been named salutatorian for the Class of 1982.

Forty years ago - 1972

The Dunkirk Urban Renewal Agency has sold property at West Fourth Street and Central Avenue to the Liberty National Bank and Trust Co. of Buffalo. The bank plans to construct a new building on the site for its Dunkirk office.

Fifty years ago - 1962

Donald C. Brandt, Fredonia attorney, has announced that Frank C. Gibb is now associated with him in the practice of law at 24 Water St., Fredonia.
