Talk about foot power.
On Sunday, hundreds of participants turned out for the Multiple Sclerosis event, which was held at Russell Joy Park, but took plenty of steps throughout Fredonia. In all, the MS Walk event raised nearly $27,000.
"We've had a lot of help from the community," said organizer Jenny Sullivan. "We couldn't have done it without all of the wonderful donations - so many people were here today to make this a success, from the mayor, to the ham radio operators, our deejay, and especially all of the hard working committee members who work year round to make it successful."
Upstate New York has one of the highest rates of MS in the entire nation. It was good to see so many support a worthy cause.
