SHERIDAN - Liberty Vineyards & Winery, of Sheridan, earned a Chairman's Award and Best of Class for its very popular "Reds, Whites & Blues" wine at the recent Riverside International Wine Competition held in Riverside, Calif.
"We are very happy that Reds, Whites, & Blues, one of our most popular wines, received this recognition. Reds, Whites & Blues is a sweet rose wine that is always a hit. It is delicious by itself, and many of our customers love to make it into a refreshing sparkling sangria during the summer months," Beth Margolis, marketing and events manager, said.
Liberty also received silver medals for its Fredonia and Riesling wines and a bronze medal for its Purple Haze wine.
In addition to the medals earned at the Riverside competition, the winery also came home with a number of awards from the Taster's Guild International Wine Judging held in Grand Rapids, MI. At the Taster's Guild competition, Liberty received a Gold medal for its Purple Haze wine.
"Purple Haze is a fun wine made from Concord grapes. It is sweet and grapey and perfect for enjoying with friends," Margolis said.
Liberty also received silver medals for its Fredonia and Rufus Red wines and bronze medals for Riesling, Diamond and Traminette at the competition.
