Brocton Board of Ed to hold special meeting, then regular meeting

The Brocton Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday in the board conference room. The meeting will be called to order at 6 p.m and enter into executive session. The regular meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Forestville to meet Wednesday afternoon

The Forestville Village board will hold a meeting at the Municipal Building, 18 Chestnut St., Forestville, at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday to work on the Water Project and other issues.

Cassadaga Job Corps will host tour and informational meeting

A tour and informational session will be held at the Cassadaga Job Corps Academy, 8115 Glasgow Road, Cassadaga, on Thursday at 10 a.m.

Anyone interested in learning more about Job Corps, the programs they offer and about life on campus is welcome to attend.

Job Corps provides young people, age 16-24, with career technical training and the education needed to enter a career in a high demand occupation.

Cassadaga Job Corps offers training in the healthcare and construction industries and enrolls both residential and non-residential students from throughout Chautauqua County. June 29- Eastside YMCA, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

June 30- Harley Davidson of Jamestown, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Forestville water ban in effect

A reminder to Village of Forestville water customers that the village of Forestville is on a water ban until further notice. Village of Forestville water customers are instructed to limit use of water to essential and necessary activities, and to not use water to water lawns, fill pools, or wash vehicles and outside facilities.

Gas prices fall

Average retail gasoline prices in Rochester have fallen 5.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.77/g Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.61/g, according to gasoline price website RochesterGasPrices.com.
