Rexford Services blew the game wide open by scoring seven runs in the fourth inning. Danny Siragusa, Douglas Lea, Nate San George, Patrick Newell and Charlie Rexford all slammed two hits. David Miller and Devin Carlson each added one hit in the win. Rexford and Miller struck out eight Laporte batters while on the hill.
Josh Powell had a clutch play at third base to preserve the win and earn the game ball.

Stateline Speedway 50/50 to Benefit Pollino Ovarian Cancer Fund at WCA
In 2010, the Pollino family created the Judy Pollino Memorial Cancer Treatment Fund at the WCA Foundation in tribute to their deceased mother to help local patients who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
For the past two years, the Pollino family has hosted benefit events entitled "Angels Among Us" which have raised nearly $3,000 to support this endowed cancer care fund and will aid WCA Hospital in the fight against ovarian cancer.
On Saturday, June 9, Stateline Speedway is allowing the Pollino family to conduct a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds benefitting the Judy Pollino Memorial Cancer Treatment Fund. Gates open at 6 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m.
Anyone wishing to contribute to this endowment fund can contact Brigetta Overcash, WCA Foundation Executive Director, at 664-5461. Tax-deductible donations and memorial gifts can be mailed to W.C.A. Foundation, P.O. Box 214, Jamestown, NY 14702-0214.
Fredonia Boys Basketball Camp
The Fredonia Central School Boys' Basketball Camp will be held Monday, July 23 through Thursday, July 26 at the Fredonia High School and Middle School gymnasiums from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost for the Camp is $90. Applicants who sign up by June 22 will receive a $10 discount. The camp is open to boys entering grades 3 through 12. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
Each athlete is expected to arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m. The camp will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. Athletes are expected to bring their own lunch.

Fredonia Sports Award Program rescheduled
The Sports Awards Program scheduled for today has been postponed and will be held Tuesday, June 12 at 6 p.m.
This change is necessary because the boy's varsity baseball team will be playing its playoff game today, thus conflicting with the original date.

Daniel Dix Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament
The 4th Annual Daniel Dix Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, August 12 at Green Meadows Golf Course.
The 18-hole, four-man scramble will feature food at the turn, a steak dinner, a Chinese auction and many other prizes. The cost is $240 per foursome and is limited to the first 30 foursomes.

Cassadaga Valley Midget Football
The Cassadaga Valley Midget Football program will be holding registration for players and cheerleaders on June 9-10 and June 16 from 4 to 5 p.m. under the pavillion at the Gerry Town Park.
Children who will turn 9 before Dec. 1 and who do not turn 14 prior to Aug. 1 may participate. Registration fee is $50 for one child, $75 for two or $80 for three or more children. Bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, name and contact information for child's physician and proper registration fee to the sign up.

Gym Rats Basketball Camp at Fredonia State
Fredonia State will be hosting the 11th annual "Gym Rats Basketball Camp" this July on the campus of Fredonia State University. The camp is for boys and girls ages 4 to 9 and will be held the week of July 9-13. The camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon daily.
The camp is geared for young girls and boys as a fun introduction to the game of basketball. All the camp participants will be using a smaller-sized youth basketball and drills and instruction will be performed on 8-foot baskets. Campers will participate in lead-up games, relay races and do lots of passing, dribbling, ball handling, and shooting with the smaller sized balls on the lower baskets. All campers get a free T-shirt, basketball and a daily snack and the cost for the camp is $90.

"Shoot the Lights Out" Basketball Camp
Fredonia State will be hosting the 11th annual "Shoot the Lights Out" Basketball Camp this summer on the campus of Fredonia State University. The camp is for boys and girls entering grades 4-12 and will be held the week of July 16-20. The camp runs from 9:30 a.m to 4 p.m. daily.
The focus of the basketball camp will be shooting the basketball. Players will be taught the fundamentals of shooting including footwork, grip, release, follow through, shooting off the pass and dribble, 3-point shooting and free throw shooting. Campers get a free T-shirt and a free pizza party on the last day of camp. Cost for the week is $155 per person if registered before June 15. After that date, the cost is $175.
