MAYVILLE - County Executive Gregory Edwards is supporting the Chaut-auqua Alcoholism & Sub-stance Abuse Council (CASAC) as it raises funds for its 6th Annual "Helping Keep Kids off Drugs" Bowl-a-thon.
"I am committed to all efforts aimed at keeping the children of Chautauqua County drug-free," Edwards said. "That's why I fully support CASAC, and their 6th Annual Bowl-a-thon fund-raiser. I encourage everyone to sign up and take part in this important event."
CASAC Board and staff are looking for sponsors for the 2012 CASAC "Helping Keep Kids Off Drugs" Bowl-a-thon which will be held at the Fountain Bowl on Fluvanna Avenue, James-town Thursday at 7 p.m. Funds raised at the event will be used to provide alcohol and other drugs prevention education and intervention services for local youth. CASAC'S goal is to reach $7,000.

Friends of CASAC are encouraged to participate in the Bowl-a-thon by collecting sponsor pledges, or organizing teams to help raise funds by competing. If you are interested in having a team or joining one of CASAC's teams call 664-3608.
Any resident who wants to support the project, but doesn't want to bowl or pledge an individual, can also make a monetary donation to CASAC by mailing it to CASAC at 501 W. Third St., Suites 3 & 4 Sprinchorn Building, Jamestown 14701.
