Fredonia Midget Football sign ups
Registration for the team will be held Tuesday, June 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fredonia Little League Complex on Clinton Street.
To register, the ages go from 8 by Aug. 1 to entering eighth grade (can't be 15 before Aug. 1 and must reside in or attend the Fredonia School District).
New registrants must bring proof of age. The cost of registration is $50 and $75 max for more than one registrant in a family. New this year, the team will be separated into three teams: jayvee (8-9 yer olds), varsity (10-11 year olds) and modified(12-13 year olds and 14 year old if entering eighth grade). No one will be allowed to move down an age group. For more information, call Dave LeBarron at 467-7846.
Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association meeting
The Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association will be holding its annual awards banquet Saturday, June 9 at 7 p.m. at the First Ward Falcon Club.
Those teams and individuals who were event winners in the Association Tournament are asked to arrive by 6:30 p.m. for pictures.
Those individuals who rolled honor scores during the 2011-2012 season are also asked to arrive early.

FHS Girls'
Basketball Camp
Fredonia will host a girls basketball camp June 25-28, in the high school and middle school gymnasiums for girls entering grades 3-12. Each participant is expected to arrive at camp between 8:30-8:55 a.m., with the camp beginning promptly at 9 and running til 3:30 p.m.
Campers will work on learning the skills that will make them a better basketball player. They will also take part in daily games and competitions.
The cost is $95 per camper and all participants are expected to bring their own lunch. Cold beverages will be for sale at lunch and at the end of each day. All participants should arrange to be picked up 3:30. All parents are welcome to attend the awards ceremony, which will be held, Thursday, June 28, at 3 p.m.

The Lady Monarchs advanced to the second round of the playoffs behind Hannah Cybart's 17 strikeout no-hitter.
She was also the leading hitter with four hits while sister Caitlyn had three. Katie Price, Quinn Bankoski and Chloe Reuther each had two hits to lead the 15-hit attack.
