Cattaraugus County seeking survey participation for ITNEverywhere survey

June 9, 2012
The OBSERVER

Cattaraugus County and local transportation providers are working on a new transportation solution called ITNEverywhere. All interested residents, 18 years and older are invited to take a survey about personal transportation choices. The survey will be open throughout June.

ITNEverywhere is a transportation service for rural and small communities. It builds on the success of the Independent Transportation Network (ITN). ITN is a nationally recognized senior transportation service that has operated in greater Portland, Maine, for 15 years. Communities in Florida and Maine are also working on ITNEverywhere.

The new ITNEverywhere service will include a transportation program where people in the community share rides to help each other, to save money and to use less energy. The program will also include a volunteer ride service for seniors. Other programs in ITNEverywhere are a community van service and an easy way for people to rent a car for a short time.

Your survey answers will help researchers understand interest in using and supporting ITNEverywhere and will help customize the program to meet your needs.

Please visit www.surveymonkey.com/s/itnecattco to take the survey. The survey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. One survey taker will win $50. You may enter the drawing at the end of the survey.

A paper version of the survey is available for those who do not have access to the internet. For a paper survey, contact Nancy Black at the Healthy Community Alliance, 532-1010. To learn more about ITNAmerica visit www.ITNAmerica.org.
