Nursery school learns from sharing

June 9, 2012
The OBSERVER

As the school year ends, it is helpful to evaluate the past months. The Christian Nursery School has observed growth in preschoolers emotionally, intellectually and physically.

As their monthly themes unfold, the school has observed clearly the emphasis on responsibility and sharing. Involving the school in concern for others has been a monthly project.

The school's association with the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry Food Pantry has touched recipients, families and young learners.

Coordinator Alexis Brandt has monitored the monthly collection of items needed by the food pantry. Items such as cereal, cleaning products, paper products or sandwich fillings have been generously contributed by students and families of the Fredonia Baptist Church.

The end-of-the-year program was held Wednesday and Thursday in the sanctuary of the Fredonia Baptist Church, 19 Church St., Fredonia. Neighbors and relatives of the students are invited. For an application for the fall semester, call 679-9966. Incoming students must be age 3 by Dec. 1, 2012.
