Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bartkowiak of Fredonia announce the engagement of their son, Richard John Bartkowiak, to Brittany Michelle Speight. Bartkowiak is the grandson of Robert and Runa Bartkowiak of Fredonia and the late Gerald and Eunice Carr. Speight is the daughter of Tommy and Michelle Sadler of Jackson, Tenn. and the late Tommy Speight. She is the granddaughter of Douglas and Nita Goode of Memphis, Tenn.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Nashville School of Law. She is currently employed at the Robertson Law Group in Nashville, Tenn.
The prospective groom graduated from Fredonia High School in 2000 and from State University of New York at Fredonia. He received his master's degree in sports administration from Belmont University in Nashville. He is currently employed as a marketing liaison for Lebannon Health Rehabilitation.
