Fredonia Fireworks 4-H visit Cakery

June 10, 2012
The OBSERVER

JAMESTOWN - Members of the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Fredonia Fireworks 4-H Club recently toured The Cakery on Main Street in Fredonia. The club members who have been learning about cake decorating through their 4-H project, got to learn about what it takes to be a professional cake decorator from owner, Peggy Rose.

The girls learned about decorating with different icings, fondant and chocolate. The 4-H club members were impressed with the beautiful tiered cakes for weddings and special occasions as well as the personalized designs they could create for any occasion.

At the conclusion of the tour, the 4-H club members were treated to a choice of cupcakes from lemon to raspberry to chocolate peanut butter. The Fredonia Fireworks want to thank Peggy Rose for the outstanding tour and the sweet treat! Everyone is looking forward to returning to The Cakery.
