Shame on the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
After postponing the Fredonia and Wayland-Cohocton baseball game, which was tied at 7 through seven innings due to darkness Wednesday, the association scheduled completion of the game - that was supposed to be at a neutral site - for Dansville again on Thursday.
How far is Wayland-Cohocton from Babcock Park? About 15 to 20 minutes. How far is it for Fredonia? Two and a half hours.
How favorable was that for the eventual winner Wayland-Cohocton?
State officials changed the venue of the game from Batavia to Dansville earlier last week. They could have changed it again instead of settling for an inconvenient option - twice - for Fredonia.
