The first 70th class reunion from Dunkirk High School will be held at Shorewood Country Club on July 13. This reunion is chaired by Luella Priest of Palm Desert, Calif. The Class of 1942 was the first class to graduate from Dunkirk High School during WWII. Many members of this class went into the various military services to serve their country. The following members of this class never returned to attend our reunions: Bill Harvey, U.S. Navy Air Force; Anthony Wincenciak, U.S. Army Paratroopers; John Meir, U.S. Army; Larry Henderson, U.S. Army; and Robert Nichols, U.S. Navy Maritime Service.
The luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, July 13. The members will discuss how they have spent the last 70 years if there is time. Also a committee will be formed to make plans for the 75th reunion in 2017. Members who have not signed up for this reunion are asked to call one of the committee members with their reservation.
