Recipes needed for cookbook

June 16, 2012
The OBSERVER

BROCTON - The Friends of the Ahira Hall Memorial Library are cooking up a new fundraiser. A new cookbook featuring recipes from the community is being produced to help raise money for the Ahira Hall Memorial Library. AHML funds several free community programs such as the summer concert in the park series, weekly events at the summer recreation program, quilting and genealogy workshops, to name but a few.

If anyone has a recipe for a fantastic dessert or main dish that their friends rave about, copy it down and send it in to the library. The library will provide a form to use when submitting the recipes. Include which category the recipe falls into: appetizers, beverages, soups, salad, vegetables, main dishes, breads, rolls and desserts. Provide a name, e-mail address and phone number, in case there are any questions about the recipes.

Submit all recipes to Ahira Hall Memorial Library by Aug. 15. Cookbooks will be available for sale during the 2012 holiday season and throughout the 2013 Portland Bicentennial.
