Westfield couple to receive Footprints Award

June 16, 2012
The OBSERVER

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) will hold its 26th Annual Meeting on Monday at 4 p.m. The meeting will take place at the JCC Training & Conference Facility on Bennett Road in Dunkirk.

The highlight of the meeting will be the presentation of the "George B. Weaver Jr. Footprints Award" to Helen and Steve Baran of Westfield. This award honors those who have left footprints for others in the community to follow in the areas of philanthropy and service.

The meeting will also include the election of new Board and Voting Members and a review of 2011 activities. A reception will follow, featuring hors d'oeuvres by the Squire Whites. Everyone in the community is encouraged and welcomed to participate. If you are interested in attending, please contact the NCCF at 366-4892 or nccf@nccfoundation.org.

The NCCF is one of nearly 700 community foundations in the United States today. Founded in 1986, the NCCF is dedicated to improving the community through the promotion of local philanthropy, strategic grantmaking and community leadership. Served by a small staff and governed by an all volunteer board of directors, the organization has distributed over $8.5 million in the form of grants and scholarships within the community. Truly community in nature, the NCCF is an organization created by and for the people of northern Chautauqua County.
