A Fredonia man is facing a number of charges after a stabbing on Holmes Place in the village on Thursday evening.
Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a stabbing that had just occurred at 40 Holmes Place, Fredonia. Upon arrival, officers were met in the driveway by an adult female with a bleeding foot laceration. The victim was in the company of her two children, ages 8 and 14.
Officers entered the dwelling and encountered Luis Rivera, 38, of the same residence. Rivera allegedly had a large kitchen knife in his back pocket and refused to comply with officers' orders.

Luis Rivera was taken into custody Thursday night.
Rivera was subdued, handcuffed and charged with third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
