Julie Walas and Binh Huynh of Syracuse announce their engagement. Walas is the daughter of Lynn and James Walas, formerly of Fredonia, and the granddaughter of Henry and Gertrude Walas of Dunkirk and the late Eugene and Rita Szocki of Dunkirk. Huyah is the son of Son and Cuc Huynh of Erie, Pa.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of New Hartford High School and a 2007 graduate of Syracuse University. She is employed as a director of undergraduate programs at Syracuse University.
The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Mercyhurst Prep High School and a 2006 graduate of Syracuse University. He is employed as the director of the summer college program at Syracuse University.
