A pair of juniors were recognized as the top players in Division 3 girls softball.
Ryanne Dugan of champion Forestville was named pitcher of the year and catcher Lauren Nickerson of runnerup Maple Grove was the player of the year.
Brianne Hazleton of Forestville was named the coach of the year and Ellicottville was chosen as the team sportsmanship award winner.

Dugan has Forestville teammates junior catcher Cherish Pope and sophomore centerfielder Alisha Szumigla joining her on the first team.
In addition to Nickerson, Maple Grove had junior pitcher Mackenzie Ellis and first sacker Brianne Davis were selected.
Pine Valley, Westfield, Franklinville and Chautauqua Lake each had two players chosen.
Senior pitcher Kyleen Hamilton and catcher Aleah Fancher represented Pine Valley, junior first baseman Hillary Nelson and senior catcher Megan Shepard Westfield, junior third baseman Ally Ciesla and sophomore shortstop Linnea Pollock Franklinville and senior pitcher Kris Merritt and junior pitcher-third baseman-first baseman Lauren Cummings Chautauqua Lake.
Individual sportsmanship awards went to juniors Jessie Babbage of Maple Grove, Ciesla of Franklinville, Ashley Carpenter of Pine Valley and Hannah Rauh of Chautauqua Lake. Also senior Lynn Wood of Westfield and Ashley Golley of Ellicottville were chosen.

The CCAA Division 2 All-Star teams were announced recently with Frewsburg junior Samantha Mott earning Pitcher of the Year honors while Player of the Year went to Cattaraugus-Little Valley sophomore Sara Crandall, who hit a cool .675 on the season.
For Cassadaga Valley, Kristi Zink (.620 AVG), Kelcie Brown (.425 AVG) and Brook Draggett (.455) all made the First Team. Also on the First Team were Frewsburg's Emily Hair (.500 AVG), Emily Foy (.375 AVG), McKenzie Cass (.400 AVG) and Shawna Raymond (.519 AVG), Portville's Kayla Welty (.419 AVG) and Albanie Stives (.450 AVG), as well as Randolph's Kaylee Luce (.489 AVG) and Hilary Clinger (.436 AVG). Cattaraugus-Little Valley's Katie Reynolds (.378 AVG) rounded out the First-Team selections.
On the Second Team were Jesse Burch (CVCS), Makalah Jones (Silver Creek), Alana Blanchard (Frewsburg), Reyanne Strong (Frewsburg), Annie Berg (Frewsburg), Shawna Sprout (Portville), Gia George (Portville), Justine Zink (Portville), Erin Crandall (Cattaraugus-Little Valley), Katie Smith (Salamanca) and Mandy Finch (Randolph).
Honorable Mention went to Ashley Carroll, Megan Leffler and Taylor Storer, all from Cassadaga Valley, as well as Jenny Pearl (Silver Creek), Stephani Sosnowski (Portville), Kaylee Eaton (Cattaraugus-Little Valley), Emily Fuller (Cattaraugus-Little Valley), Sammy Gross (Cattaraugus-Little Valley), Ashley Mendell (Randolph), Gabby Smith (Salamanca) and Sydnie Beattie (Salamanca).
Team Sportsmanship Awards went to Draggett (CVCS), Hayley Trippy (Silver Creek), Bethany Steele (Frewsburg), Mendell (Randolph), Eaton (Cattaraugus-Little Valley) and George (Portville). The Team Sportsmanship Award went to Randolph while Frewsburg's Jon Blanchard was named Coach of the Year.
