CATTARAUGUS - Ruth B. Mosher, 100, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Gowanda Rehab and Health Center in Gowanda, NY.
She was born April 16, 1912 in Town of Otto, NY the daughter of the late Henry L. and Jennie (Ruper) Hebner.Ruth was a manager for the school cafeteria at Cattaraugus Central School, where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Otto where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of the Ladies Aid, Sunday School Superintendent, and helped with VBS. She also did bulletins and yearly reports.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elsie Ellis of Cattaraugus, NY; two grandsons, Larry W. Ellis and Wayne G. (Tina) Ellis, both of Cattaraugus, NY;
two granddaughters, Rhonda L. Kulaw and Vicki L. (Michael) Young both of Cattaraugus, NY; a stepdaughter, Deon Thalheimer of Gowanda, NY; and a sister, Jeanette Kickbush, also of Gowanda, NY. Ten great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren, 23 great step grandchildren, 25 great great step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, William J. Ellis, Sr., Vernon Byer and C. Wesley Mosher; a son, William Ellis; her sister, Wilma Preston; her brothers, Claude Hebner and Raymond Hebner; her stepsons, Charles Mosher and Basil Byer; and her one step great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Otto. Rev. Howard Warner, pastor, will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus, NY.
Visitation will be held at the church chapel on Saturday from 1-2 P.M.
