The State University of New York Athletic Conference released the names of 97 Fredonia State student-athletes who mave made either the Commissioner's List and/or the All-Academic Team during the spring 2012 semester.
The list of Blue Devils is comprised of 39 men and 58 women, all of whom played on winter or spring teams.
To qualify for both lists, a student-athlete must be a varsity athlete who completed the entire season. Members of the Commissioner's List have maintained a grade point average of 3.3 for three semesters. All-Academic Team members carried at least a 3.3 GPA during the most recent spring semester.
SUNYAC Commissioner Dr. Patrick R. Damore said 1,594 student-athletes qualified for the awards throughout the conference. He said of the 526 who qualified for the Commissioner's List, 47 maintained a cumulative 3.9 for three semesters, and 26 maintained a 4.0 for three semesters. Of the 1,068 who qualified for the All Academic Team, 93 achieved a Spring Semester GPA of 3.9, and 57 had a 4.0.
