Thomas H. Schulenberg

SILVER CREEK - Thomas H. Schulenberg, 66, of Silver Creek, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Dunkirk, on July 14, 1945, the son of Rita (Dillenkofer) Schulenberg of Port Orange, FL and the late Frank Schulenberg.

He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Police Sergeant and as Acting Police Chief for the former Town of Hanover Police Department, retiring in 1985. Mr. Schulenberg was a member of the NYS Police Chiefs Association, member of the NY Police Chiefs Benevolent Association and a life member of Samuel Cimino VFW Post #6472, Silver Creek. He enjoyed building model ships and was an avid boater.

Surviving, besides his mother are his wife Barbara (White) Cloud Schulenberg of Silver Creek, whom he married in 1977; a daughter, Paula (Jeff) Green of St. Petersburg, FL; a son, Jim (Tracy) Schulenberg, of Fredonia, two stepsons, Doug Cloud, of Lackawanna, Andy Cloud of Atlanta, GA and a stepdaughter, Lorrie Cloud, of Silver Creek. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation observed. Memorial Services will be held from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville, Monday morning, June 25th, at 11 o'clock, with Rev. Michael Stitzel of the Forestville Baptist Church and Rev. Drew Stewart, officiating.
