Sue Slate shot a hole-in-one Tuesday evening on hole No. 4 at Pinehurst Golf Course during the Pinehurst ParTee Girls League. She was using her 9-iron.?The shot was witnessed by her league partner Colleen Paradis and fellow golfers Sue Dietzen and Lauren Kozlowski.

Pinehurst ParTee Girls - Sue Slate had the highlight of the night with a hole-in-one on No. 4. Low gross scores went to Lynn LaMattina (46), Trudy Gollnitz and Lori Foster (47), June Beers (48) and Carolyn Rawlinson, Amy North, and Tammie Ahrens (49). The low net score was shot by Kelly Crawford with a 28, followed by Gollnitz (30), Lynn LaMattina and Lori Foster (32) and Sue Dietzen and Brooke Sheesley (33). The longest putt on No. 7 was won by Diane Enser. Closest to the green on the second shot on No. 2 was Pat Thompson.

Brocton American Legion Post 434 Wednesday Evening Men's League - Low gross: Carter Stetson 38, Nick Speziale 38, Gary Arnold 38, Dave Willebrandt 39, Jon Esperson 39, Andy Deakin 40 and Tim lehman 40. Low net: Stetson 28, Speziale 29, Jon Coe 30, Lehman 30, Dave Meadows 31, Dennis Willebrandt 31. Closest to the pin's on the par 3's; John Feiner (No. 7), Bob Remington (No. 4). Closest to the pin on No .8 with the second shot was Dave Willebrandt. Longest putt on No. 1 was Willebrandt. One skin was won by Feiner. Most team points were won by Bob Kaus and Dave Travis 14.5 and Tim Wagner and Carter Stetson also 14.5.

Team standings are: 1st place - Nancy Phillips and Karen Tramuta. 2nd place - Sally Giambrone and Debbie Yerico. 3rd place - Sue Gotowka and Sue Hertlein.

Stericycle A's 5

The Astros jumped out to a 5-1 lead and hung on for a 7-5 victory. Jared Burmaster, Christian Prechtl and Brandon Perry struck out eight and scattered six singles on the mound. Burmaster, Colton Haas (double), Vince Gullo and Nick Thompson had RBI base hits for the Astros.

Zach Crandall took the loss for the A's.

Rookies 11, Monnies 1

Jeremy McAfee tossed a gem one-hit game with eight strikeouts. McAfee also contributed two doubles. Joe Wisniewski led Rookies' hitters with three hits while Jake Porpiglia and Bob Kryzanowicz added two hits each.
