Sheriff's office seeking crime tips
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance to solve a crime which occurred in Clymer.
On Monday, a John Deere 35D excavator was dropped off in the rear if the Z & M John Deere Dealership in Clymer. During the night, an unknown subject removed the excavator from the dealership.
The excavator did not have any keys in it. The excavator is valued at $38,000. The person or persons who removed the machine are suspected to have access to heavy equipment and a trailer. The excavator is yellow and black in color.
The sheriff's office is looking for anyone with information on this to call (716) 753-4925 or (800) 782-7463. Anyone who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved may be eligible for up to $1,000 reward.
Jamestown PD seeking person of interest
JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Police Department is currently investigating a complaint of a burglary that occurred last week at a downtown photo studio.
Some time between June 4 at 3 p.m. and June 6 at 11 a.m., an unknown person or persons entered the Jon Elder Productions studio and removed several pieces of camera equipment valued at over $8,000, which included two Canon EOS cameras, one Canon D60 camera, two camera lenses, a camera speed light, and two camera bags.
Investigators are looking for information on the whereabouts of David A. Heath, 34, who was reportedly the building maintenance person at Covenant Manor which contains the photography studio. Heath has reportedly not been seen since the burglary occurred and his whereabouts are not known at this time.
Investigators have spoken to a family member in the area who has also not seen or heard from Heath since the burglary. It is believed Heath may have family in Texas but that has not been confirmed at this time.
