Shannon Marie Coomer and Anthony James Taylor were united in marriage on May 12 on the shores of Lake Erie. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Terry Kime.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Donna Coomer of New Salisbury, Ind. The groom is the son of Cheryl Taylor of Monticello.
The bride wore a one-shoulder, drop waist pleated long ivory gown embellished with small crystals throughout the bodice. She carried a bouquet of orange and white lilies.

The couple, along with the bride's son Tristan, symbolized the new unity of the family by pouring yellow, blue and green sand together into a glass container.
The bride is a graduate of North Harrison High School. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in English literature and writing with a minor in French from Indiana University Southeast. She attended graduate school at John Carroll University and will be transferring to SUNY Fredonia in August to finish her master's degree in English literature. She is employed at the OBSERVER.
Her husband is a graduate of Panama Central School and Jamestown Community College. He is in the Army National Guard and will be deploying to Afghanistan in August.
The couple will honeymoon in Canada after the groom returns from his deployment. They are residing in Dunkirk.
