This coming Tuesday, we have an opportunity to make a real difference for our Southern Tier communities, families and businesses.
Three Democratic candidates will be squaring off, with the winner going up against Tom Reed in November.
Nate Shinagawa clearly stands out as our best choice. Everything I've learned about Nate convinces me he's not a politician, but a public servant.
His stance on many issues shows he is intelligent and has good ideas, while his record shows he is a hard worker with exceptional leadership skills.
Nate's not afraid to stand up to others to do the right thing, whether that's supporting the middle class, supporting budgets that will cut our debt and deficit while keeping social safety nets strong, legislating to help small businesses and the middle class, working for energy independence and a cleaner environment, or fighting for seniors, women, and for excellence in our educational system.
He will help improve the efficiency of the nation's health-care system, so that quality care is accessible to everyone at a lower cost.
He's shown his exceptional capabilities in this area and I'm excited for what he could accomplish at the national level for us.
For these reasons, I urge all of us to vote for Nate Shinagawa on Tuesday and again in November so we can send him to Washington to truly represent the people of Chautauqua County and the rest of the 23rd District.
