Darwins Health Club to hold PB&J food drive

A Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive to benefit the local food pantry and summer feeding program will be held June 24-30. Donations of peanut butter and/or jelly can be dropped off at Darwin's Health Club, 47-53 Water St., Fredonia during business hours.

Donations will also be accepted at the Masonic Lodge on Main Street, Fredonia Monday, Wednesday and Friday June 25, 27 and 29 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Donate a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly and receive free admission to a Body Pump Class. Body Pump is held Monday and Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.; Monday and Friday at Noon; and Saturday at 9 a.m. at Darwin's Health Club.

NCCS receives whiteboards

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will be receiving Promethean interactive whiteboards and projectors for grades K-8 in September. These boards and projectors will equip NCCS with the very latest in classroom technology. The students and teachers at NCCS will experience a whole new way to learn, starting next school year.

Legion planning annual Pow Wow

The Iroquois Post #1587 is hosting a Veterans Pow Wow from July 13 to 15. The theme of the event this year is "Honor All Veterans" and will be held at the Cattaraugus Community Center, 12767 Route 438, Irving. The event is looking for volunteers who would like to help out with the event on Saturday or Sunday with general event tasks. The event starts Saturday and Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and will go until evening. A grand entry is at noon both days as well as 7 p.m. on Saturday.
